-Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am a wanderer; always trying to learn new things, always open to new experiences. I am excited to see where the universe takes me. I have had a huge variety of jobs, from being a veterinary technician to a pastry chef. I’ve also worked on a coffee farm in Hawaii, as a jeep tour guide in Arizona, and as a science instructor at MOSI Tampa. Most of the jobs I’ve had were offered to me, despite the fact that I had no previous experience. I’m always amazed at the opportunities I get just by being open, friendly, and willing. Believe it or not, I actually have a very small comfort zone, but for some reason I am always pushing myself out of it.
I received my Masters in Biology from Northern Arizona University in December 2007. During grad school I discovered film making as a way to combine my creativity with my desire to educate others. In February 2008 I joined the Peace Corps and moved to Madagascar to be an environmental education volunteer. Since then I have been traveling, volunteering, and seeking new experiences.
My desire is to educate people about the world through my videos, photos, and words. I want to show how truly abundant life is, how kind people are, and how much beauty exists in unexpected places.
